When I began writing Ivriya, I found myself angry at both academic material and religious-traditional interpretation. Each story, on its own, sounded almost absurd. When I started reading alternative researchers, I realized they too were searching for the truth somewhere out there. They had already brought life back into the findings, but even that still didn’t feel grounded enough for me. Only when I went deep into traditions, into the stories of peoples, and into the memory preserved across generations, did I finally understand the scale of the mistake: each side holds a piece, but each side also misses the whole.
Academia chose to dismiss traditional stories as legends. Tradition chose to dismiss physical evidence, because if God didn’t write it down, then it simply wasn’t important enough. Religion preserved memory, names, and traditions. Academia preserved findings, dating, and structures. Alternative researchers brought back imagination, courage, and living inquiry. But as long as each one stands alone, the picture remains broken.
AND JUST LIKE THAT, WITHOUT EVEN REALIZING IT, WE GAVE UP OUR PAST BEFORE WE EVER TRULY LOOKED FOR IT.
Only when we bring the evidence, the land, the stone, the tradition, and the story back together does the real picture begin to appear.
DATING IS NOT RELIGION — IT IS A MEASURING TOOL.
AND LIKE ANY MEASURING TOOL, IT CAN BE WRONG.
ESPECIALLY WHEN STONE CARRIES NO DATE OF ITS OWN.
A date can instantly sever tradition from evidence, landscape from memory, and living stories from the people who carried them — even while the stone itself is still standing right in front of us. That is why dating is a tool. Important. Necessary, at times. But it is not the story, and it is certainly not the final word.
There is no future without a past. And there is no real path back to the past when each side erases the other. If we reconnect the stories, strip away the layers that built up over them, and strip away all the prestige we wrapped them in, we may recover not only the true story of the world — but our own past as well. And maybe, at last, we can do what we should have done from the beginning: pass it on properly.

Statement:
Everything I write here is part of a research thesis about the beginning of the renewed world after the Ice Age.
This research is based on what can be seen in the field, on archaeological evidence, on ancient writings, on traditions preserved by different cultures, and on genetic studies that reopen old questions.
I simply look at these things from a different angle: not through religion and ritual, because in my view those came much later, but through ancient memory, changes in land and water, the remains of early civilizations, and records that were preserved in different forms across generations.
